Under the sanction of law, the hack becomes a
finite property, and the hacker class emerges, as
all classes emerge, out of a relation to a property
form. Like all forms of property, intellectual
property enforces a relation of scarcity. It
assigns a right to a property to an owner at the
expense of non-owners, to a class of possessors at
the expense of the dispossessed.
