but now they were both working in the Yan-
kee Girl mine, and were doing well. I wrote
to them at that address, but my letter was
returned to me, "unclaimed." After that we
never heard from them.
Black Hawk, the new world in which we had
come to live, was a clean, well-planted little
prairie town, with white fences and good green
yards about the dwellings, wide, dusty streets,
and shapely little trees growing along the
wooden sidewalks. In the center of the town
there were two rows of new brick "store"
buildings, a brick schoolhouse, the court-
house, and four white churches. Our own
house looked down over the town, and from
our upstairs windows we could see the winding
line of the river bluffs, two miles south of us.
That river was to be my compensation for
the lost freedom of the farming country.
We came to Black Hawk in March, and by
the end of April we felt like town people.
Grandfather was a deacon in the new Baptist
Church, grandmother was busy with church
suppers and missionary societies, and I was
quite another boy, or thought I was. Sud-
denly put down among boys of my own age,
I found I had a great deal to learn. Before

comment: James and Stu. As someone coeenctnd with BBC, I naturally strive at all times for maximum interactivity on a multi-platform paradigm, so please do go ahead and provide any of the people I post with names, backstory, habits, colours and, er, swine flu, as you see fit. If I like the names enough, I'll change the title of the relevant post. Rob and Mark - thank you very much. I blush. I can promise you you'd be much less appreciative if you could see the lumpen clod of script I'm currently trying to wrestle into some sort of shape. Anyway, the recording dates have not yet been confirmed, but they are likely to be three Sundays in June and July. Keep an eye on this place- I'll probably be able to announce the confirmed dates, and how to book, a little ahead of the BBC, thus giving you a headstart, and saving Richard O. Smith's marriage. All part of the service.

comment: I bought this moointr in the last week and own a few other LCD's around the house even very expensive top end sony bravia xbr's. I have to say this is up there with my new favorite LCD's in the house.Looks:The housing (screen bezel) on this moointr is stunning in design. It looks like a clear thick candy coating of plastic was formed around the moointrs frame. You can see the light refract around the edges of the thicker clear plastic and it looks really eye catching. Considering buying another this week and using them in a dual moointr setup. Even though this is a touch of color (red) in normal lighting conditions you dont even see much of the red (only at the bottom), normally it looks almost pure black at the core of the clear coating. However, if you shine a flashlight or very bright light on the montitor's frame you can see its all dark red and not black. I wasnt sure I was going to like this whole touch of color thing but now that I own it I have no objections. The rear of the moointr looks as good as the front. You could easily have this on a desk where people could see the back and it would still look sharp. The back is rounded slightly and has a big Samsung logo on it. Also the connection ports have a plastic cover to hide the works so it maintains a sleek look even with wires going in.Function:I am a graphic artist and avid PC gamer and so far I am loving this moointr. The Magicbright and MagicColor features really help to simplify and amaze you with color/contrast management. I have the colors looking spot on now when I do my graphic editing. As an artist I can tell you I am totally happy with the look. As a gamer I am very happy as well. I have noticed that I get screen tearing a lot more noticable on this moointr then others I have owned. I am not sure why. However, turning on a games vsync function helps remedy that problem. Some games lack vsync option and for those games moving the screen around at extremely fast rate or patterns moving very fast will cause screen tearing. Outside of that everything else is flawless. Since screen tearing can be fixed with vsync I dont knock the moointr for this. I will note that the 5ms time seems to be fine for my games. I get no ghosting at high speeds at all things look great. 1920 1200 resolution on Crysis with high settings is a thing of beauty! I highly recommend this moointr for this price point and this size. Its an eye catcher both on and off the screen. http://gejvyyqpyh.com nhgxbbeij [link=http://uqveuqav.com]uqveuqav[/link]
